i sipped at the wine
and savoured its lovely aroma and sweet taste

as it exploded on my tongue and trickled down my throat
but that wasn't why i blushed
an overwhelming feeling of happiness

had lit a warm spark inside me

and the fire could not be extinguished
the light shone out from within
radiating a steady glow
that brought that tinge of pink to my cheeks

and the upward curve to my lips
